Seamless Shade

New seamless shade to be launched in Milan later this month. This shade is designed to parody its mass produced counterparts where all illusion and mystery instantly dissolve when the light is turned on and the joining seam appears. The aim of this piece is to disguise and reinterpret the manufacturing process.

The paper shade has an elaborate laser-cut edge; when the light is off, all that can be seen is one edge of the laser-cut paper; when the light is switched on, the whole scene appears.
